Praia da Luz is less than one hour's drive from Faro airport, and within easy reach of many picturesque bays and coves along the Algarve coast. Praia da Luz has developed over the past few years into a small, peaceful and popular family resort.

The sandy beach is a haven for children, and a wide variety of water sports are available on the beach. As well as a popular beach bar, there are a large number of restaurants and bars throughout the town. Most serve traditional Portuguese and English food, although praia da Luz also offers Italian, South African and Indian cuisine.
